About

Buying a home is mostly waiting to be told what happens next

Credolay exists because the hardest part of buying is rarely the money. It is not knowing what stage you are at, what is expected of you, or whether the number in your head is realistic.

The problem

Advice arrives too late to be useful

Most people find out they needed a bigger deposit after an offer falls through, or that a document was missing when a lender asks for it. The information exists — it just arrives at the wrong moment, from whoever happens to be in the room.

We wanted the opposite: one place that always knows what stage you are at and what the next move is, told plainly, before it becomes urgent.

The approach

Show the arithmetic, not just the verdict

Scores that will not explain themselves are worthless. Every number Credolay produces — readiness, affordability, how well a home fits — opens up to show the reasoning and the specific thing that would change it.

Where we make an assumption, such as a 25-year term at 4.5%, it is written on screen rather than buried, so you can judge how much weight the figure deserves.

The plan does not stop at the front door

Owning is where most of the money actually goes. Your plan carries on afterwards, tracking running costs and flagging when the mortgage is worth revisiting — the decisions that are expensive precisely because nobody is prompting you about them.

Moving boxes in a bright hallway
Plain
No jargon that hides a simple idea, and no score without its reasoning.
Consented
Nothing runs against anybody until they have seen the scope and agreed.
Honest
We say what is an estimate, what is an assumption, and what is verified.

Straight answers

Neither. We are not regulated to give financial advice and we do not sell mortgages or take a commission on one. Credolay is a planning tool: it helps you work out what is realistic and what to do next, then you take that to a broker, lender or agent better placed to act on it.

Start where you actually are

Whether you are two years out or mid-offer, the first step is the same: an honest look at the numbers.
