Using Credolay

Credolay is a language-learning system: an AI coach you talk to, lessons and recall built from those conversations, translation tools, and a Language Profile, a model of how you handle the language, estimated from how you respond. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

What the Twin is, and is not

The Language Profile is an estimate built from behavioural signals such as response time, speaking pace and recall latency. It is a tool for adapting your practice. It is not a psychological, medical or educational assessment, it is not a certified measure of language proficiency, and it should not be relied on as one for employment, immigration, admission or any other decision. Its estimates carry a count of the observations they rest on; treat a low count as a guess.

The coach is a model

The coach, Replay, the lessons and the translations are produced by an AI model. They will sometimes be wrong: a correction may be mistaken, a translation may miss a nuance, a cultural note may not apply to your situation. Do not rely on a translation for anything legal, medical or financial without checking it with a person who knows.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under it. One person per account. You must be at least 16 to use Credolay.

Your content and your data

What you say and write stays yours. You give us a licence to process it to run the service, and nothing more. The behavioural signals we record about your responses are described in the privacy policy; you can download them at any time and delete your account to remove them.

Acceptable use

Use Credolay to learn. Do not use it to generate abusive or unlawful content, to attempt to extract the underlying models, to scrape or overload the service, or to impersonate someone else.

Availability

We aim to keep Credolay running but do not promise uninterrupted service. Speech recognition and voices depend on your browser and device and may not be available everywhere. We may change or withdraw features with reasonable notice.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where the law requires it.

Changes to these terms

We will tell you in the app before a material change applies. Continuing to use Credolay after that is acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
